Even though this formula includes ultra-protective UV assets like pomegranate extract or tomato lycopene, we recommend using sun protection during your sun exposure to avoid sunburn and the pigment spots. Your skin will be protected and your tan enhanced thanks to the active ingredients that stimulate the internal production of melanin.

The Active Sun Complex boosts tanning naturally by stimulating the synthesis of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin coloration. Thus, unlike some self-tanners, the skin colors naturally while respecting its complexion, without an orange effect.

It is possible to consume this formula continuously for a no-makeup beauty, even in winter. For occasional use, we recommend starting this treatment at least 15 days before the first exposure, continuing during the exposure period, and extending the treatment for 15 days upon return to maintain a tanned complexion.

The Active Sun Complex contains 28 vegetable capsules in a glass bottle.

French researchers decided to verify the virtues of beta-carotene on smokers; this study showed that high and simultaneous consumption of beta-carotene and cigarettes could increase their risk of cancer. Beta-carotene would be sensitive to oxidation caused by the degradation products of cigarette smoke. Since the bodies of smokers no longer have the ability to recycle the by-products of oxidized carotene, these become pro-oxidants and can worsen the onset of cancer.

Of course, it is out of the question to prohibit smokers from consuming foods containing beta-carotene: it is mainly fruits and vegetables that contain thousands of other compounds beneficial to health. The best advice for cigarette smokers may be to avoid high-dose beta-carotene supplements (>20 mg/day), especially sun supplements... and above all, to quit smoking :)
